Bloodties Bloodties Music is a mix of Classic Rock and Blues Rock, which the listeners say is emotionally driven and up beat. The band Bloodties was formed in 2001 and the members have written over 35 songs together. The cover of ‘Bloodties’, their newly released CD, depicts the meaning of the bands name which represents a rich family influence in the development of the band members’ musical talents. The band members’ cultural tapestry and familiar musical interests has produced an eclectic musical experience of Rock, Rhythm and Blues. Bloodties entered a BC/Alberta talent contest in 2003 that was sponsored by White Owl Productions out of Vancouver. They placed in the 3 finalists in Williams Lake and moved on to Merritt to become one of the two finalists in BC. In the final contest in Grand Prairie Bloodties placed 2 nd overall. the band members regularly donate their musical talents for local charities, playing concerts for the Williams Lake Boys and Girls Youth Club, Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion, and Communities in Bloom. Bloodties participated in a local concert fundraiser called ‘Firestock’ in September 2003 that raised funds for displaced families from the fires across BC in that year. Bloodties plays for local estabilishments in the Cariboo and their music has been played on the Wolf 570 am and the Max 97.5 fm. Bloodties was voted first place in the Cariboo Gold radio contest for their song, "Angie’s Song” and won a CD recording by Slap Back Productions. |
